Sweet Tooth review
Based on the comic of the same name, Sweet Tooth takes several creative liberties. For instance it doesn’t have the same caricaturesque character designs (not even for the hybrids) and it adds an additional plot line with an additional evil faction, but overall the spirit is much the same.
The story is read, well, like a story. It marries sci-fi concepts (like genetic hybirds and a killing virus) with fantasy elements (said hybrids and disease ultimately have a fantastical origin), which I always love.
The characters, both protagonists and antagonists, have a lot of depth to them. It illustrates perfectly the dichotomy between compassion and the fleeting need for control in a nature where nature has taken the reigns.
Overall a solid recommendation.
