Super Team Canada review

Super Team Canada is an adult parody where the only availiable super team to defend the world are super heroes from Canada. The show strikes an odd balance between portraying them as inept jokes and being patriotic, which results in some very odd vibes. The show seems to have a heart, but it cynically subverts it more often than not, so it’s hard to care about the characters themselves beyond being vessels for jokes.

The jokes themselves run the gammot from toilet humor to legitimately insightful critiques of canadian animation, but they’re mostly canadian sterotype jokes. The animation itself is serviceable and the character designs okay, though I find it odd how two members of the team have redundant powers, being both water/ice based.

A weak recommendation.
