Star Trek: Lower Decks review

--

Star Trek: Lower Decks starts as a largely comedic series, but even in its first episodes it still has a lot of heart, honouring Star Trek as a property. Soon after genuine adventure and drama increase as the episodes follow, and though it never stops being funny you can clearly see the show grow as it goes on, becoming more mature and character driven.

Suffice to say, the last episode is a completely different beast from the first.

The cast is composed of loveble characters, Mariner and Boimler having comedic flaws but still fundamentally good people. And the rest of the cast adds an air of comraderie fitting for Star Trek.

The animation, by Titmouse, is fluid and translates Trek designs well into 2D

A strong recommendation.
