Secret Level review

Secret Level is basically to games (tabletop and video) what Love, Death & Robots is to scifi and fantasy short stories. Its an anthology that features (mostly) original stories set in the games presented in this show.

Each episode varies in terms of quality, though all have a generally CGI animation oriented towards photorealism. A notable exception is the Sifu episode, which has painted cels. This can make the series a bit monotonous visually, but in most cases it fits relatively well with the games it is adapting.

Overall I thought the Sifu one was the most visually satisfying while the New World one was the funniest with a heartwarming ending.

A strong recommendation.
